Job Description:


The primary responsibility of this position is to manage New Product projects from concept through launch. This position is responsible for building timelines and milestones that are needed for each project. In this role, the individual will be managing several projects on a continuous basis. This will require communication of weekly status, project risks, and be an active leader in providing options to any adverse situations. This position serves as the main focal point for all departments and project personnel to communicate their activities. The project manager will then analyze the information and disseminate to the appropriate individuals.


  • Manage all types of projects from cradle to grave.
  • Coordinate the implementation of new products into current business platforms.
  • Project management through the innovation cycle.
  • Report status updates weekly to stakeholders for all projects.
  • Work closely with marketing and other cross-functional teams through project completion.
  • Manage stakeholders for multiple large projects.
  • Assess, manage, and communicate risks to all levels.
  • Maintain and organize process documentation.
  • Lead and prepare project documents for gate review.
  • Prioritize, delegate, and track progress from the following teams: NPI, Engineering, R&D, Marketing, Design, Supply Chain, Production, Logistics, S&OP.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Experience and Skills:


  • BS in business or an applied science
  • 5+ years experience in project management
  • PMP Certification is a plus
  • Microsoft Project or similar PM system training required. Must be at an intermediate or advanced level.
  • Sound organization skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail and technically oriented individual.
  • Goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to work well under pressure and succeed within a competitive environment.
  • Progressive work history.
  • Demonstrate good judgment.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.
  • Team player, no job too big or too small.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.
