Job Description:


The Inside Sales Territory Manager is responsible for selling Gorilla Glue products, O’Keeffe’s products and Lutz Tools within the Hardware & Industrial retail channel through quality touchpoints with a primary focus on effective outbound calls that meet and exceed the sales goals determined by sales management. This person provides coverage and develops market penetration to existing and prospective accounts in an assigned territory using phone sales, electronic communication, working with outside sales representatives, mailings and other resources.



  • Manage a territory comprised of approximately 3,000 dealers consisting of individually owned retail outlets and multiple regional store chains ranging from approximately 2 to 150 stores.
  • Maximize sales revenue growth and profit by identifying new business opportunities within specified territories, maintaining current business, communicating product knowledge and secure new product placement within those accounts.
  • Communicate with dealers through various quality touchpoints to create business plans to increase sales by gaining placement with on-shelf and off-shelf displays.
  • Assist field sales with the growth and development of specified chain accounts within the territory to optimize relationship, new product introductions, and help drive incremental sales.
  • Communicate with approximately 6 - 12 independent outside field sales representatives in the territory to maintain effective coverage of assigned accounts, orders written on new and existing products, promotions, product knowledge, and selling tools.
  • Analyze customer needs and formulate solutions by utilizing all available resources.
  • Follow-up on customer inquiries and process orders in a timely manner.
  • Utilize computer software system to maintain up to date customer and territory records in accordance with company policy and procedure.
  • Participate in interdepartmental projects and new company initiatives.
  • Other duties assigned by management.

Experience and Skills:


  • 1-3 years of outbound sales experience preferred.
  • BS/ BA degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong computer skills, strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong external and internal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.
  • Ability to travel for trade shows if necessary.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see and use repetitive motions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds of material, boxes, or sit for long periods of time, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.
