Job Description:


The HR Recruiter achieves company staffing objectives by working closely with hiring managers to identify and evaluate candidate alignment against the department’s needs and company’s Core Values. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of recruiting from personnel requisition to hire. This position will also recommend and implement key processes and procedures to improve recruitment practices at The Gorilla Glue Company. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the company. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs and employee goodwill.



  • Job Requisition:
    • Manages recruiting process from receipt of Personnel Requisition from hiring manager to receipt of Payroll Change Notice for candidate offer.
    • Establishes recruiting requirements through communication with managers to discuss hiring needs.
    • Determines candidate qualifications by obtaining job descriptions and discussing core competencies and other requirements with hiring managers.
    • Works with Compensation Specialist to provide market pay data to hiring managers to confirm target pay range accuracy.
  • Job Posting:
    • Creates and publishes all job postings for digital and print media.
    • Provides Applicant Tracking System login and training to hiring managers.
    • Manages posting response by reviewing all applications and identifying those with required experience and skill set.
    • Broadens applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges, employment agencies, recruiting firms, social media and internet sites; builds rapport while providing organization information including opportunities and benefits.
  • Candidate Review:
    • Determines applicants’ qualifications and company fit by conducting phone interviews, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements, etc.
    • Provides feedback and next-step recommendations to hiring managers.
    • Facilitates candidate assessment through development and facilitation of pre-qualification questions, interview questions, skills-based assessments and personnel profile assessments.
  • Candidate Follow-Up:
    • Arranges hiring team interviews by coordinating schedules, booking conference rooms, sending candidate confirmations, preparing interview materials, etc.
    • Conducts ongoing communication with hiring managers/teams and candidates. Provides timely communication to all out-of-process candidates.
    • Collects and provides candidate feedback to hiring manager to determine best candidate for offer.
  • Additional:
    • Generates reports as needed from the HRIS system and provides monthly recruiting metrics.
    • Works with the HR team on events, employee welfare/benefit, and training activities.
    • Assumes other duties as assigned by Management.


Experience and Skills:


  • College degree and/or 5-7 years relevant experience within HR/Recruiting.
  • PHR/SPHR preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships internally and externally at all levels.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Human Resource field.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence, and make effective presentations.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well on special projects within time sensitive deadlines, and under pressure.
  • Must have the ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Requires attention to detail and ability to demonstrate a high degree of quality and accuracy in work performance.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see and use repetitive motions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift and or move up to 20 pounds of material, boxes, or sit for long periods of time, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.
