Job Description:


The National Accounts Analyst will be an active participant in sales process including accessing retailer portals, POS/inventory analysis, and forecasting/demand planning, and reviewing/reporting on relevant key metrics. This position will work closely with sales, marketing, and operations and will be a dynamic part of a team charged with optimizing sales every day.



  • Work with retail partners to capture key business performance reporting levels and summaries including analysis of product categories, assortments, price points, location, active and discontinued items, store volume groups, retail comp stores vs. total, etc.
  • Access data from key accounts using retailer’s reporting portals.
  • Create, maintain, and deliver accurate, timely, and professional appearing Point-of-Sale reports for designated area(s) of responsibility on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Produce insightful, actionable, and presentable analysis which results in improvements to the overall retail performance of the merchandising assortments.
  • Analyze data to provide our sales team with forecasts and to help our operations team gauge product demand.
  • Work closely with key contacts at major national accounts (buyers, replenishment, forecasting, etc.) to optimize sales and inventory.
  • A strong competency in sales analysis, forecasting, and inventory management is required.
  • Produce Ad-Hoc reports accurately and for timely distribution to both internal and external customers. Respond quickly to ad-hoc requests with short notice and deadlines.
  • Document abnormal POS demand attributed to promotions and advertising for use in TY/LY reporting and analysis. Maintain an historical log of drivers contributing to abnormal POS weeks.
  • Actively participate in the product line review process.
  • Other duties assigned by management.
  • Periodic travel is required.


Experience and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Strong Analytic skill set with the ability to provide actionable recommendations based on key performance indicators.
  • Experience using one or more of the following retail reporting portals is preferred - Lowe’s Link, Wal-Mart Retail Link, Home Depot Link, Target Partners Online.
  • Strong team-work; able to effectively participate and motivate others working within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to present to all levels within the organization as well as customers.
  • Should be goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to succeed under pressure within a competitive environment.
  • Able to adapt to new technology.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. Desired knowledge includes pivot tables, vlookups, ifs (sumif, averageif, etc.), chart and graph creation, etc.
  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office suite software: Word, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see and use repetitive motions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift and or move up to 25 pounds of material, boxes, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus.
